The Core Values Index, or the CVI is quickly becoming my favorite assessment tool for clients and teams. It has stood the test of time for accuracy and effectiveness, and I find it to be an affordable, fast, and insightful tool to help in the coaching process. Based on Maslow’s unfinished work, the CVI helps an individual understand their core value – or the contribution they innately want to make based on their inherent skills and values. If you’ve worked with me at all, you know I love to cut to the chase and peel back layers to uncover what really matters. The CVI is my favorite starting place. I have also found that it empowers people to embrace their strengths and move more fully into them- almost immediately providing energy and motivation for whatever tasks we are addressing the coaching process.
